Broflakes in Texas!
A group calling itself “This is Texas” is in Austin on July 1st & 2nd to act as enforcers for the bigoted 1776 March.
This is Texas…is simply a goon squad.
A goon squad that is totally illegitimate with with malevolent intentions. The reason this group is attending this hateful, fascist parade is because they cite a page from Facebook known as “Antifascist USA.” As the story goes , the mysterious Antifascist USA came into a thread on the event page for 1776 and threatened to throw poop at their marchers.
There’s only one problem.
There is no Antifascist USA group.
This is Texas…IS…Antifascist USA.
It doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to find the Antifascist USA facebook page is fake. Language and turn of phrase mirrors that found in the This is Texas group. Antifascist USA page has very little activity and, if it was a real group , they have not produced any evidence of social actions the group has taken in public. Finally, legitimate Anti-fascist organizations of different stripes have stated they DO NOT recognize calls for action from Antifascist USA.
At this time The Orchestra fully rejects this group because it is fake.
This is a poor attempt at a false flag.
Here’s how the scam goes:
1. Host an event where you plan to instigate political violence.
2. Create a false threat from an imaginary enemy to create the illusion of tension.
3. Attempt to control the narrative and give the appearance of escalating the conflict. Use this threat to draw stronger fighters to the group.
4. Draw out legitimate enemies when you have the stronger fighters on hand.
5. Instigate the enemy yet claim they attacked you! Claim you were just the victim and it was ALL in self-defense.
The signs point to This is Texas is behind this fake anti-fascist group.
They are looking for a safespace in Austin.
